Karadi Mama Song Meaning

A child meets a bear and calls him karadi maama, uncle bear. “Where are you off to?” The bear says his home is near the forest and he is going there.

The child admires his thick woolly coat (kambali sattai) and asks who gave it to him. The bear answers that it was God’s gift, who else? Sing it as a little chat, with the child asking and a grown-up answering in a deep bear voice.
