Mayile Mayile Aadi Vaa Meaning
The child calls all the birds to come and play. “Peacock (mayil), come dancing, I will give you corn (makkach cholam)! Cuckoo (kuyil), come singing, I will give you kovai fruits! Green parrot (pachai kili), come flying, I will give you a ripe guava (koyya)! Little sparrow (chittu kuruvi), come walking, I will put a shirt on you!”
“Crane by the stream (odai kokku), come here, we can play catch! Pigeon on the roof (maada pura), come down, sit on my lap and we can talk!” Let children dance, sing, fly and walk like each bird as you sing.
