Aana Varunne Meaning
“Friend (changathi), the elephant (aana) is coming! He is huge, like a black mountain (karimala), black all over. Four big fat legs, two long tusks (kombu), and he swings his trunk (thumbikkai) from side to side. Didn’t you see the tusker (komban) coming?”
“I’m scared, friend! Did you run and hide?” Children love to stomp like the elephant, swing one arm like a trunk, and then run and hide on the last line.
