few more animals. &#8220;Kukkuru kukku fox (kurukkan), the dark one who steals cucumbers (kakkiri), once came to a forest. He saw grapes (munthiri) and wanted them so much his mouth watered, and he stood looking up at the branch.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From far away a little sparrow teased him: why, little fox, do you want something you cannot have? And the fox answered: the grapes are sour anyway!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Next a monkey (kurangachan) who did not listen pushed his head into a pot of jaggery (chakkara kudam), got stuck and went dizzy. Then a tiger (kaduva) out hunting hit a wasps&#8217; nest (kadannal koodu), and the angry wasps chased him. An elephant (kaattaana) who came that way got stung too and ran off!
